In fact, the original manga was actually first published back in 2018 with the official English translation published in 2019. Interestingly enough, while the story is written by the original author ofFairy Tail,Hiro Mashima,the art is drawn by an artist named Atsuo Ueda.

The types are as follows: The Normal Quest, the S-Class Quest, the SS-Class Quest, the 10-Years Quest, and finally the 100-Years Quest.
The Normal quest can be taken by any mage. The S-Class quest needsat least one S-class mageto complete it, while the SS-Class requires a group of S-Class mages to complete it. The 10-Year Quest is a quest that hasn’t been completed in a decade, while the 100-Year Quest is a quest that hasn’t been completed in a century.

Out of every powerful and competent mage in theFairy Tailguild, the one who is eager to challenge the legendary 100-Year Quest is none other than the rambunctious Team Natsu. This team consists of Natsu Dragneel and Happy, Wendy Marvell and Carla, Gray Fullbuster,Lucy Heartfilia,and Erza Scarlet.
Although Natsu is undoubtedly the main character ofFairy Tail,he always works together with these four mages, especially when it comes to tackling difficult quests. Erza is usually the sole S-Class mage of the group. After the end of the main series, however, Team Natsu as a whole is pretty much an SS-Class mage team at the very least.

Team Natsu is not the first mage who challenges the 100-year quest. They’re not even the first mage from Fairy Tail who tried to tackle this legendary quest. Lots of powerful mages have tried their luck with this quest and most of them were either died or heavily injured.
The last mage who tried to tackle the 100-year quest was none other than a man who was known asthe most powerful mage in Fairy Tail, Gildarts Clive.Unfortunately, Gildarts nearly lost his life during the quest. A Guild Called Magia Dragon
In order to find out more about the 100-year quest, Team Natsu travels deep into the Continent of Guiltina. Their destination is the oldest guild in history, the legendary Magia Dragon. This is where they will find out the details regarding the 100-year quest.
They expect to see a grand mansion filled with powerful mages and bursting with activity. What they find instead is an abandoned guild that has turned into ruins. Interestingly enough, there is still one person who lives inside. He isthe first leader of the guildMagia Dragon, a powerful mage named Elefseria.
4The Five Dragon Gods
They Are as Strong as Acnologia
As it turns out, Elefseria was the one who posted the quest a hundred years ago. He has been waiting for so long for a champion to arrive and finish the quest. But alas, everybody who dares to challenge Elefseria’s quest ends up dead or heavily injured. That’s why he is glad to see that there are still young mages willing to challenge his quest.
The quest is quite straightforward. Scattered across the continent of Guiltina are the Five Dragon Gods. Each and every single one of them has a strength equal tothe Black Dragon Acnologia.The quest is simple. Elefseria wants Team Natsu to seal those five dragons away.
3The Dragon Eaters
A Brand New Adversaries
Later on, during their journey to complete this seemingly impossible quest, Team Natsu will encounter mysterious mages who will become dangerous adversaries during this entire quest. A group known as the Dragon Eaters.
We won’t reveal much about them to avoid any unnecessary spoilers. The only two things that we can share about them are the fact that they are as strong as the Dragon Slayers and they are working undera guild named the Diabolos.

There are three main forces colliding inFairy Tail: 100-Year Quest.The first one is Team Natsu who is eager to complete the legendary 100-year quest. The second one is the Dragons themselves along with their powerful followers. The third one is Diabolosand their Dragon Eaters.
These three different parties have different objectives and different ways of achieving those objectives. As you can expect, they end up crossing each other’s paths. As a result, we have a three-way battle between Team Natsu, the Dragons and their followers, and the Dragon Eaters from Diabolos.

The Fairy Tail’s guildstands tall at the heart of Magnolia,a metropolis city located within the Kingdom of Fiore. This kingdom is a small part of the continent of Ishagar, which is in the eastern part of the Earth Land. On the western part is the continent of Alakitasia, while on the northern part is the continent of Guiltina.
Most of the story in the mainFairy Tailseries happened in or around the continent of Ishgar. This 100-year quest, however, will take place mostly within the continent of Guiltina.
