Remedy Entertainment, the developer behindAlan Wake 2, has teased the addition of a New Game Plus mode since the game launched, but it looks like the mode will be added sooner rather than later. In a tweet made toAlan Wake 2’s Twitter account, the developer seems to be hinting that its New Game Plus mode will be added sometime this month.

Shortly before the game was released, Remedy Entertainment detailed whatAlan Wake 2’s New Game Plusmode would consist of. In keeping with most New Game Plus modes from other developers,Alan Wake 2’s mode will allow players to retain all weapons and upgrades as they transition to their New Game Plus playthrough, and will also unlock a new Nightmare difficulty level for players to overcome. But, more intriguingly, the mode will also feature an alternative narrative, including new manuscript pages and video content forAlan Wakefans to uncover.

TheAlan Wakefranchise is no stranger to making interesting and bold design choices. While its first game was mainly an action-adventure game,Alan Wake 2made a big jump to the survival-horror genre. With the firstAlan Wakealready being a tried-and-true, successful product, this was a brave move that has obviously paid off for Remedy Entertainment.
