For months, rumors have been swirling about the upcomingBattlefield 6game, with some industry insiders hinting that a reveal would be happening in June. Well, it seems that information was correct, as DICE and Electronic Arts have confirmed thatBattlefield 6, or whatever it ends up being called, will indeed have its world reveal next week.
The officialBattlefieldTwitter account released a very brief teaser that showed theBattlefieldlogo, along with the game’s reveal date. On Wednesday, June 9, at 7am PT,Battlefieldfans will be able to tune in and see the world reveal for the next game in the long-running series. The teaser didn’t offer any additional details about what fans can expect, but an assumption can be made based on the logo.

TheBattlefieldlogo is presented in a glitchy, electronic sort of way, which could very well clue fans in to the game’s setting. Rumors point toBattlefield 6having a near-future setting, and this kind of presentation does seem to be pointing in that direction. And when one considers theleakedBattlefield 6trailer, which seemed to show both modern and slightly futuristic technology in action, it does seem like fans can count on the game having a near-future setting as rumored.
Something else fans may be able to glean from the brief teaser isBattlefield 6’s title. Previously, leakers have suggested thatBattlefield 6won’t actually be calledBattlefield 6. On the contrary, the rumors have been thatBattlefield 6’s title would simply beBattlefield. The logo in the teaser simply shows the name “Battlefield,” and that seems to lend credibility to the reports that the game won’t actually have a number in its title.
There are plenty of otherBattlefield 6rumors to take into account as well. Rumors claim thatBattlefield 6will have a 128 player count for its standard multiplayer modes, and that the game will not have a single player campaign. Other rumors claim thatBattlefield 6will feature an enhanced level of destructibilitywhen compared to previous entries in the franchise, to the point where players, or natural disasters, will be able to level enter cities.
When Electronic Arts and DICE finally release theBattlefield 6reveal traileron June 9, it will be interesting to see which of these rumors are proven true and which ones turn out to be inaccurate. Fans of theBattlefieldfranchise will just have to tune in next week to find out for sure.
