5Mighty Gunvolt Burst
A game that was developed by the team known for creating theMega Mangames in Japan,Mighty Gunvolt Burstwas the sequel toMighty Gunvolt, which was released in 2017. Using pixel graphics and a wonderfully fun style,Mighty Gunvolt Burstlets players explore a cyber-futuristic world filled with enemies and difficult levels to navigate.

One of the more famous recent entries in theMega Manstyle,Shovel Knightfollows an adventurous knight who uses only a shovel in combat. With a strangely large amount of lore to a world about a shovel-wielding warrior,Shovel Knightis a wonderful 8-bit adventure that explores a variety of stories in the various campaigns that have been released and added to date.
Shovel Knight’sinitial story featured him trying to stop an evil Enchantress rising to power at the head of the Order of No Quarter, a group of knights he must defeat to reach the Enchantress. The story, narratively excellent, adds hugely to the enjoyment of a franchise thathas made itself synonymouswith the style ofMega Man.
