The newMass Effectgame is in active development at BioWare, though details about what exactly the game will entail are still being kept mostly secret for now. All fans have to go on is the newMass Effectgame reveal trailer and some promotional art, with little in the way of more concrete information. WhileMass Effectfans wait to learn more about the new game, it seems that there’s still something to discover in the reveal trailer.
BioWare director Michael Gamble teased as much on Twitter, saying that if thenewMass Effectannouncement trailerwins the award for “Favorite Moment of 2020,” a special category honoring big moments from last year’s Game Awards event, that he will reveal “one thing about the trailer” that hasn’t been announced yet. What exactly this means is unclear. It’s possible that there’s something in the trailer itself that has yet to be revealed, but it’s also possible Gamble will touch on something about the creation of the trailer or behind-the-scenes information.

Whatever the case may be, Gamble will only reveal more about theMass Effect 4trailer if the game’s announcement wins at The Game Awards 2021. It’s going up against theSephirothSuper Smash Bros. Ultimaterevealas well as a couple of musical performances, so it does stand a decent shot at winning, especially now that people know that there’s some new information forMass Effect 4on the line.
Whether or notMass Effect 4wins this special category atThe Game Awards 2021will be revealed on December 9. It’s unclear if Gamble will reveal the new information on theMass Effecttrailer immediately, or if fans will have to wait some time to learn more.
It will be interesting to see if BioWare has a presence at The Game Awards 2021 beyondMass Effect’s nomination. BioWare has made numerous Game Awards appearances over the years to highlight its upcoming products, and it has at least two projects in the pipeline at the time of this writing. Another appearance byMass Effectseems unlikely, but maybe thenewDragon Agegamewill get the spotlight instead.
ThenewDragon Agegame release dateis expected within the next couple of years, and it’s definintely coming out beforeMass Effect. So if any BioWare game is going to be at The Game Awards in December, one would think that it would beDragon Age. Fans will have to tune in to The Game Awards on December 9 to find out, but they should definitely keep their expectations in check.
