The detail was noticed by Redditor generic_dud12, who pointed out that the FAMAS appears on the loading screen added with Season 2 Reloaded. While the image is a stylized piece of art, it has likely come from some of Infinity Ward’s upcomingSeason 3 forCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Infinity Ward has yet to comment on the loading screen, and it’s unlikely the developer will have much to say on the issue until it begins to discuss its plans for Season 3, so for now players must exercise patience while they wait for the FAMAS.
Players in the thread were quick to point out that the FAMAS has already appeared in severalcalling cards inCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, so this is something that has clearly been long in planning for the game. Others took the opportunity to use the thread as a wish list for other classic weapons to return, such as the TAR-21, which hasn’t been seen in aCall of Dutygame since 2009.
The FAMAS first appeared in 2009’sCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and was a hit with fans due to its high-power three-round burst. It would later appear in multipleCall of Dutytitles, most recently appearing in 2019’sCall of Duty: Modern Warfare. Hopefully, it’s well-balanced if it does make its way into the game. Some of theweapons added inCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2Season 2 had to be banned from Ranked Playdue to Infinity Ward failing to properly balance them at launch, so it’s something the developer has struggled with as of late.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
