Call of Duty: Modern WarfareUpdate 1.12 is out now, bringing with it two new maps, a variant on an existing map, new playlists, and more.
After downloading the newCall of Duty: Modern WarfareUpdate 1.12, fans of the popular first-person shooter can check out Shipment and Vacant, two fan favoriteCall of Duty 4maps that have been reimagined for the new game. Additionally,Modern Warfarefans can hop into the returning regular Gunfight mode and try the new holiday-themed version of Docks, which is simply called Winter Docks.

As far as new game modes go,Call of Duty: Modern WarfareUpdate 1.12 brings backregular Gunfight, as previously mentioned, and it also adds Cranked. Cranked is a game mode that was originally featured inCall of Duty: GhostsandInfinite Warfare. Inspired by the action movieCrank, Cranked forces players to get kills in quick succession or else their character will literally explode. Cranked may not be the most popular game mode inCall of Dutyhistory, but its fast-paced nature may actually solve the camping problem that the game seems to have.
There are also a new playlist forCall of Duty: Modern Warfarefans to check out after they download Update 1.12. This is the Season 1 Moshpit, which lets players play matches on bothShipment and Vacant. Whether or not there will be a new playlist that focuses on just Shipment or just Vacant is unclear at this time, but it likely depends on how popular the two maps become moving forward.
Prior to the update, there was some concern from theCall of Duty: Modern Warfarecommunity that the addition of this new content would mean losing the fan favorite mode Infected. After all,Infinity Ward removed Gun Gameand replaced it with a new mode, but luckily that’s not the case with Update 1.12.Modern Warfarefans can still play Infected, and they can now do so on some new maps.
Keeping Infected in place will go a long way in makingCall of Duty: Modern Warfarefans react more positively to Update 1.12 than they have to other recent updates in the game. However, it remains to be seen if the new update will introduce any new issues that the developers will need to address.
