Call of Duty: Warzonehas suffered an upsurge of cheaters taking advantage of the game recently. As a result, players have taken to social media outlets likeRedditto ask Infinity Ward for a feature that they can use to fight back.

The request comes during a time when players already have to deal with bugs that grant unfair advantages to their opposition, such as the recently discoveredGulag glitch. It was actually during a Gulag match where Redditor Synthin found himself dying under suspicious circumstances to his opponent.

While the new glitch wasn’t what caused Synthin’s death, he still decided to spectate his killer. As he did, he found that the cheater in question was potentially using wallhacks, as they seemed to know exactly where their opponents would be, even when behind cover. Synthin then uploaded his findings to Reddit, which in turn restarted the conversation on how regularWarzoneplayers don’t have any real options to deal with cheaters outside of cheating themselves.

The most requested option boiled down to granting players a “report button,” which they could then use to single out players pulling off suspicious feats. Of course, the purpose of the button would be to get these cheaters banned, but basic banning doesn’t really solve problems in a game likeWarzone.Warzoneis a free-to-play title, so any cheater that finds themselves prohibited can just create another account to continue doing what they want.

With that in mind, players have suggested a variety of different bans that may have longer-lasting effects. One option included “shadowbanning,” which wouldban cheatersfrom standard servers without them knowing it. The ban would then place these cheaters in a server with other banned players. Another suggestion included “hardware bans,” which would make it more expensive for cheaters to get back into the game once removed. Regardless of the type of ban, though, a feature that actively lets players report cheaters is something that the community is requesting.

Whether or notInfinity Wardwill implement a feature like this remains a mystery. The developer currently has its sight set on fixing the other bugs and glitches in the game. However, there’s no reason why it wouldn’t be able to set up a reporting system in the future, especially if the majority of the player base asks for it.

Call of Duty: Warzoneis available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
