Packaged within the box ofMario Kart Live: Home Circuitis an RC car with either Mario or Luigi, as well as various gates that players litter across their homes as checkpoints for the RC car to drive though. A camera on the car lets the player see a third-person view just as astandardMario Karttitlewould while they collect coins and items, avoid obstacles, and race for first place.

Players then choose from 24 unique tracks of their choice including a Bowser’s Castle track , a Donkey Kong Jungle,a homemade Rainbow Road, and various otherMario Kartclassics. Each track has its own collectibles and obstacles, but fans have noticed an obstacle that Nintendo didn’t advertise: their own cats. Yes, players have reported that their own cats have absolutely not been enjoying the cart driving plumbers zipping around their homes. Many users have even recorded these hilarious feline encounters.
Overall, this was certainly to be expected. Cats are curious creatures and introducing a fast-paced stranger into their home is certainly going to get their attention.
