Is There Crossplay in Chivalry 2
It’s a question worth asking considering how many different consolesChivalry 2is releasing for. With abrutal launch trailer showingChivalry 2’s gameplay, it’s clear that players will soon have the opportunity to butcher opponents once again with several options for controllers.Chivalry 2is launching on both previous and current-gen consoles, from PS4 and PS5 to Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. It is also launching on PC, and in answer to many players' hopes, itdoes indeed have cross-play for all of these consoles.
The devs themselves confirm this feature. On the officialChivalry 2website, players can find an FAQ for the game that includes info about all the consoles the game will land on. According to said FAQ, there will be cross-play between all platforms. This makes sense since thebeta forChivalry 2also had cross-play, and it worked alright then. Even though PlayStation consoles sometimes bar certain titles from full cross-play, this will not be the case withChivalry 2.
It should also be mentioned that the number of players in a full match ofChivalry 2is 64 players. With the game drawing that number from multiple consoles, it will likely not be difficult to find full matches regularly. Provided players knowhow to invite friends inChivalry 2, they will be fine.
Finally, to accommodate players who want to play on a specific server, aserver browser forChivalry 2is being added to the game’s console ports. It’s a much-requested feature that will allow players a measure of control equal to the PC version. Granted, that PC version is exclusive to the Epic Games Store for a year, but many players won’t find this to be a hindrance considering all that’s on offer.
Chivalry 2will be available on June 8th for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
