Players were apparently not receiving unlocked items after purchasing the pass, which has been rectified. Torn Banner Studios also solved an issue where idle players were not appearing on players' HUDs, and a bug where entering spectator mode would completely break a player’s HUD. As for the Merry Chivmas event, players will be able to enjoy some Christmas-themed maps that are littered with holiday decorations and useable items. There are also snowman, reindeer, and Santa helmets for players to try out. While this update is a bit smaller thanChivalry 2’sHalloween Fight Knight update, there is still plenty of content in it.

The Merry Chivmas event is a great way to get players into the game during the busy holiday season, and adding special holiday-themed content is usually a hit with players. Especially when that content changes the appearance and interactions on some of the game’s maps. With items like throwable snowballs, throwable Christmas ornaments, and even gift-wrapped anvils that can be used as weapons, there are plenty of ways to mix up the game’s typical medieval combat for Christmas.New updates forChivalry 2are almost always a good thing as well, and can really help drive player engagement.

Of course,Chivalry 2is famous for brutal gameplayso a fun Christmas event bringing holiday cheer definitely could feel out of place. More hardcore players that play for the more realistic medieval combat and enjoy the game’s aesthetic might not be too happy. The game does embrace some goofier aspects, though, like letting players use chopped-off limbs as blunt weapons, so a fun holiday event will probably be popular among most of the fanbase.

Chivalry 2is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
