While there are many that enjoy cinematic single-player games and versus multiplayer titles, there are many others that prefer teaming up with a friend to tackle challenges in co-op.2022 has seen the release of plenty co-op titles so far, and as it turns out, even more co-op games are waiting on the horizon. In fact, there are at least three big co-op games currently scheduled to release in August 2022.
The first major co-op game release of August 2022 is theSaints Rowreboot, which is scheduled to launch on August 23 for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. TheSaints Rowreboot is set in the Las Vegas-inspired Santo Ileso, and it features the same over-the-top open world action and zany humor that fans have come to expect from the Volition’sGTAcompetitor.Saints Rowgames have long featured online multiplayer and co-op support, with the reboot no exception.

It’s been confirmed that theSaints Rowreboot will have drop-in/drop-out online co-op. Better yet, players can make progress in theirSaints Rowgame regardless of who the host player is, which should make the co-op even more worthwhile. Co-op in open world games has proven tricky to get right in the past, but fans don’t have to wait much longer to see ifSaints Rowis able to nail it or not.
New Co-Op Games for August 2022
A week later on August 30, two more co-op games will launch for various platforms. On that day, theDestroy All Humans 2remake, titledDestroy All Humans 2: Reprobed, will launch for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X, joined byTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection, which is scheduled to launch for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
Destroy All Humans 2: Reprobedwill let players play through the entire campaign in split-screen co-op.Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection, meanwhile, offers 13TMNTgames for fans to try, many of which also include co-op support. The collection features the incredibly popularTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time, so co-op gaming fans should be plenty busy in August.
Many morenew co-op gameswill release beyond August 2022, so co-op gamers should have no shortage of new titles to play in the months ahead.
