A new season may have arrived inCall of Duty: Modern Warfare, but glitches and bugs continue to hamper the online experience for many players. While the developer continues to work on a few issues that have managed to come over from the previous season, new problems have arisen and been reported from fans. A couple of recent issues have a few color related issues from green dots that never go away from the multiplayer menu to players being able tochange the color of their nameplate. Another color related issue is causing plenty of headaches for players on certain multiplayer maps.
The latest reported issue from theCall of Duty: Modern WarfaresubReddit showcases a very trippy sequence that can occur on some maps like Zhokov Boneyard. Essentially what happens is that when the player goes into a nearby building the colors of the map fade out and are replaced by vibrant greens, yellows, whites, purples, and blacks. Everything is distorted, almost making the game look like a photo negative.

While it’s unknown what is causing this explosion of color, though many appear to be blaming a bug with the map shaders. The issue appears to be happening to other players in certain indoor spots on other maps as well. One player responded by confirming the issue also occurred on the District map as well.
Interestingly enough, other visual problems were also highlighted in the thread with one player admitting that why they haven’t experienced this particular visual glitch, they had a lighting related problem whileplaying the Ground War mode. According to the report, a shadow seemingly followed the player around and messed with the map’s lighting. Another player mentioned a similar issue on Quarry where the brightness levels seemingly increased significantly, removing most dark shadowed areas.
In the meantime, the game has been full of leaks over the past week, basically revealing the existence of the Warzone Battle Royale mode much earlier than Infinity Ward likely intended. Players have potentially discovered everything from player size, the map, equipment, vehicles, andeven a potential release date. A new rumor making the rounds also indicates that Warzone is likely going to launch as a standalone, free to play title as well, which is likely an attempt to pull players away from other popular BR games likeFortniteorApex Legends.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfareis out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
