One player ofThe Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrimwas attacked by an assassin evidently hired by CuSith, one of the death hounds living in Volkihar Keep.Skyrimplayers will sometimes get attacked by assassins during their playthroughs, who leave behind a contract upon defeat. These contracts always feature the same words, as the person wants to teach the Dragonborn a lesson, but the sender’s name at the end is different.

Over the years,Skyrimfans have encountered similar contracts sent by some unlikely characters. As an example, aSkyrimplayer found out that a child in Whiterunsent assassins after them, making it seem like the sender can be any random NPC in the game. Now, one gamer was attacked by assassins hired by one of the unlikeliest NPCs in the world ofSkyrim.

A Reddit user named LfSantos22 has shared an image of a contract showing that CuSith wanted to teach them a lesson. For those who are unaware, CuSith is a death hound found in Volkihar Keep, a location found inSkyrim’sDawnguardDLC, making this scenario all the more absurd. Players can find a picture of the death found in the second image featured in theReddit post.

Fans in the comments section appear just as surprised as LfSantos22, with one imagining CuSith sitting on a chair and handing a bag of money to the assassin. Another user states that they thought it was bad enough for children tosend assassins after the Dragonborn, but at least they could hold a quill to write this contract. There is perhaps an even worse scenario, as oneSkyrimfan claims to have been attacked by assassins sent by a chicken.

TheDawnguardDLC was included inSkyrim Special Edition, and there are a couple of ways of this starting questline. Players should also note that death hounds can become followers if they side with the vampires during theDawnguardDLC. So, gamers can have CuSith as an ally in their playthrough ofThe Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, which may be a roundabout way to ensure that it doesn’t send assassins to kill them.

Dawnguardis one of three majoradd-ons Bethesda released forSkyrim, the other two beingHearthfireandDragonborn. WhileHearthfirewas mainly focused on building homes inside the world ofSkyrim,Dragonbornallowed players to visit the island of Solstheim and play through a brand-new series of quests.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim - Anniversary Editionis available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
