OneDead Space Remakeplayer discovers a unique Easter egg hidden inside the game that unlocks a sea shanty about the Marker and the USG Ishimura. Following a lengthy hiatus, theDead Spacefranchise has returned thanks to the efforts of EA Motive. The game takes the foundation and story of the original Visceral Games title and expands upon it with new side missions and expanded lore and world building.Dead Spaceisn’t quite a 1:1 remake of the original game, but for many fans, the updates and changes are a welcomed one.

In addition toutilizing the Frostbite engine to enhance theDead Space’s visualsand better immerse the fans inside of the claustrophobic USG Ishimura, improvements were also made to some of the less popular sections of gameplay such as the turret and Zero-G areas. EA Motive also took the opportunity to add in their own secrets and Easter eggs including a nod to former co-creator Glen Schofield as well as a secret ending. However, one resourceful fan has seemingly uncovered a unique audio log.

The latestDead SpaceEaster egg was recorded by TikTok user xgarbett who seemed to play around with Isaac’s stomps and jumps to unlock a secret sea shanty audio log. The tune takes the popular Wellerman Sea Shanty and gives itDead Spaceinspired lyrics regarding the USG Kellion coming to check on the status of the USG Ishimura after they discovered the Red Marker and lost communications after cracking the planet known as Aegis VII.

Based on the video, it appears that the ritual room inside ofChapter 4: Obliteration Imminentis where the code can be inputted to obtain the audio log. The ritual room is actually a Break room on the ship that a former crew member has altered by drawing a red circle on the ground surrounded by lanterns. Players have actually used this room to unlock other secrets including another text log recorded by someone who is part of the Church of Unitology.

In addition to hidden secrets, players have also stumbled into unintentional behavior as well. OneDead Spaceplayer discovered a glitchutilizing the alternative fire for the Pulse Rifle that allows the items to be picked up and sold. However, applying an upgrade node completely refills the weapon, so they can continue selling, then resetting the upgrade path, and then adding the node again to continue this cycle. With the added cash, players can use it to purchase additional upgrade nodes, gaining access to powerful upgrades long before the game intends players to have them.
