The most recent involvesSuccessionstar Matthew Macfadyen, as his mysterious role may have been revealed.Deadpool 3details have been kept under wraps. What is known about the story is that it features a team-up between Ryan Reynolds' Wade Wilson/Deadpool and Hugh Jackman’s Logan/Wolverine, as the two will likely provide plenty offourth-wall-breaking comedymaterial following their characters' interactions in 2009’sX-Men Origins: Wolverine(and briefly in one ofDeadpool 2’s post-credit scene).RELATED:Deadpool 3’s Cast List Apparently Has Some Huge Names On ItInsiderCanWeGetToastrecently tweeted that Macfadyen will play a character named Paradox inDeadpool 3. WithLokiseason 2 slated to release in October, it is possible that Macfadyen’s character could appear in one of the episodes before his appearance inDeadpool 3.
While it’s exciting to figure out (maybe) Macfadyen’s role in all of this, it’s even more intriguing that fans may get to see an interaction between Loki and Deadpool. Reynolds was rumored to reprise his beloved role much earlier in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but his role was reportedly cut at some point during development. But fans will seemingly get what they’ve been waiting for with Deadpool reuniting with Jackman and potentially having lasting implications on the MCU timelines.
In addition to Reynolds in the titular role,other returningDeadpoolcast memberswho have been confirmed are Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Stefan Kapicic as Colossus, Rob Delaney as Peter, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio. Emma Corrin is joining the cast in an undisclosed villain lead role. It is also rumored that Jackman will be joined by his original X-Men film trilogy co-stars Halle Berry, Famke Janssen, and James Marsden.
The upcoming film marks the third director in theDeadpoolfranchise/trilogy, asStranger ThingsandThe Adam Project’sShawn Levy is now behind the camera. The screenplay is written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, along with Zeb Wells, Reynolds, and Levy.
