Summary

One ofDestiny 2’s rarest shaders, Angel’s Gleam, is now available for purchase in the Eververse store for Bright Dust. shaders are a crucial item in the game as they make a player’s character stand out and are also an important part ofDestiny 2’s fashion enthusiast community.

Shaders have been one of the most sought-after items inDestiny 2. While there are many common ones easily available in the game, some are extremely difficult to acquire. For instance, completing aflawless run of Crota’s End raid inDestiny 2will give players the Shed Carapace shader, but acquiring it is not for the faint-hearted as finishing any raid flawless in the game is a mammoth task. Then there are the shaders that have been vaulted by Bungie as a part of its controversial DCV, so only the players who picked them up while they were available will have it. However, there is a rare shader available in the Eververse store right now that players can get for a limited time.

This was revealed via a post on theDestiny 2subreddit by user Luke-HW, who pointed out that the Angel’s Gleam shader is available in the Eververse store for Bright Dust. For those unaware, Angel’s Gleam was locked behind a $10 event card upgrade during last year’s Festival of the Lost, and many players weren’t happy about it. However, Bungie has seemingly managed to turn things around, as the fan response has been positive that the shader can be purchased for Bright Dust instead of Silver.

While this may be a small step towards gaining the community’s favor, Bungie has been called out for the increasing microtransactions in the game. Recently, there was an uproar in the community when a particularDestiny 2content creator highlighted the game’s growing monetization problems. Another problem players have pointed out is with some of theRitual Masks inDestiny 2’s ongoing Festival of the Lostevent that are being sold for Silver, as they are only useful for three weeks in a year.

To rectify this, several fans have suggested that BungieturnDestiny 2’s Festival of the Lost masks into a transmog, instead of keeping them as a separate armor piece. This way, players will be able to use their staple gear and don the masks as a cosmetic, simply because their stats are mediocre.

Destiny 2is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
