Powerful and Pinnacle gear are needed for players to increase their Power Level up to the seasonal maximum of 1580, which will go up again when Season 19 launches. Season of Plunder Weekly Powerful Gear Reward Checklist
Powerful Gear inDestiny 2is divided into three different tiers, and each tier has its own benefits and can be weighted differently based on how useful that specific reward can be to the Power Level grind.

Season of Plunder Weekly Pinnacle Gear Reward Checklist
Pinnacle Gear are items that drop at +6 Power Level compared to the players' current maximum equipable Power Level if they are below the hard cap. This changes to +1 or +2 if players reached the hard cap.

InDestiny 2, Pinnacle Gear is especially valuable when chasing higher Power Level items after hitting the hard cap for the Season, which is always 10 levels lower than the effective cap.
In Season of Plunder, the hard cap is 1570, which means that any Powerful Gear dropped after reaching that level will always be 1570, whereas Pinnacle Gear is the only way to reach the effective cap of 1580.

It’s worth noting that in the case of theKing’s Fall Raidand the Duality Dungeon, as well as for Iron Banner Challenge,Destiny 2players will receive a Pinnacle Gear reward for every encounter or challenge completed.
It’s also worth mentioning that this checklist is for weekly resets, and players can farm both Powerful Gear and Pinnacle Gear on any character.
