ADiablo 4player shares the disappointing experience they had when low-value items dropped from the “Grand” Cache that they opened in the action-RPG. Even thoughDiablo 4does have random drop rates, it seems that players still sort of expect that important chests and caches would actually give out things that they can use in their playthrough.

After the game’s launch, the topic ofloot drops inDiablo 4became quite popular within the community. Many expressed their disappointment at the seemingly low drop rates, especially since there was a time that no player could even get the incredible Unique gear to appear. And even though Blizzard may have already adjusted these rates, there may still need to be some adjutments made, especially if fans continue to be disappointed with the gear they get when opening supposedly priceless caches.

On Reddit, user No_Smell_4379 shared a short video of them opening a Grand Cache inDiablo 4, only to receive a small amount of gold and a bunch of Chipped Gems. According to the footage, the player received the cache from Ashava, one of the weekly world bosses inDiablo 4. Normally, players would expect to see more high-ticket items like Legendary gear, even Rare or Magic ones, at least. Unfortunately, luck was not on the Redditor’s side, and they will probably have to wait another week to get another Grand Cache from a world boss for a chance to get better items to drop.

Fellow players can probably relate to the original poster’s disappointment, especially sinceDiablo 4world bossescan be quite tough to fight. One pointed out that the Redditor was only at level 36, indicating that they may need to be at a higher World Tier level to get more powerful gear. Others shared that even if they are at higher character levels, the drop rates still seem to be too low, with them not getting anything good even after hours of grinding and farming content. Comments about players finally hitting the endgame loop ofDiablo 4and not liking it are also mentioned on the Reddit thread.

WithDiablo 4’s Season of the Malignantcoming soon, players seem to be doubtful that Blizzard will implement significant changes to the game’s loot drop rates. Though a recent update added Unique drops to the Helltide chest drop pool, the daily gameplay grind can easily burn the player base out. Hopefully the devs will find a sweet spot that will satisfy the fans soon.

Diablo 4is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
