A game-breaking bug that is present in the tenth chapter ofDigimon Survivehas finally been fixed in its latest update. The game had launched earlier this summer and was a long time coming for fans of the franchise. AfterDigimon Survive’s protracted and troubled development cycle, it was released to mixed-to-positive reviews from fans and critics. With that tumultuous time developing the game, there were bound to be some issues that would crop up after the game had launched.

While the bugs vary depending on the platform, there was one that ended up breaking the game if the conditions were just right. Once players had reachedDigimon Survive’s tenth chapterif the player was unlucky enough to have accomplished certain conditions, the only function that could be selected was “Free Battle.” This only allowed the player to participate in random encounter battles, locking them out of other functions. This bug had prevented several users from progressing through the story, and while the officialDigimongames account on Twitter did list a temporary workaround, it was not the most ideal solution.

This was all first addressed by the account near the end of August, stating that the developers were working on a patch for the game. Thisfix forDigimon Survivewas finally released, packaged in with the game’s version 1.03 update. Players just need to connect their game to the Internet in order to download and update the game to the latest version to remedy this issue.

This update, coming almost a month after being discovered, had relieved fans, who were still waiting for the developers to address it, with others wondering why it took so long. Some were just glad the glitch was fixed, and they could continue playing the game, especially considering this chapter is past the halfway point, and the game continues afterDigimon Survivesplits into many routes.

There were some other fans ofDigimon Survivewho voiced their concerns about the game, most notably involving the game’s pre-order Guilmon DLC. Reports from fans on Twitter had indicated that despite doing everything to pre-order the game, they never received their day one DLC Digimon. According to certain users, a button prompt that would usually pop up to allow them to download it never appeared, and it’s been this way ever since its launch. Hopefully, this issue can also be addressed by the developers in the near future.

Digimon Surviveis available now for PC, PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
