10Horde Raider Scales Axe
Throughout the text in the Horde Raider Scales set, Bruenor’s father Bangor lamented the missed opportunity of uniting the Dwarven brethren. Had they listened to Garumn’s call for peace, the Dwarven race would live in prosperity. It’s the Horde Raider Scales Axe that highlights this potential in the form of expanded defense.
When equipped, the Horde Raider Scales Axe can provide various defensive perks, depending on the number of pieces from the armor set Bruenor wears:

This Axe works best againstfoes with unique attack types.
9Cold Resistance Axe
What threat is an enemy frozen in place? When Bruenor uses the Cold Resistance Axe correctly, his opponents will just freeze – his steel-cold Axe transforming the core of their being into ice. Given the nature of the Cold Resistance Axe, using this with the right defensive build can give the team more than enough stopping power to mitigate threats.
If Bruenor wields the Cold Resistance Axe, he receives these bonuses:

8Fire Resistance Axe
Tempus, the God of Battle, knows that only combat can temper the fighting prowess of a soldier. And Bruenor has faced enough combat to be considered a renowned combatant. It’s as though Tempus blesses Bruenor with the Fire Resistance Axe, as his vigor in combat makes him less susceptible to harm from fire.
When equipped, the Fire Resistance Axe can provide a whole host of benefits when worn with a set:

This Axe is a great tool for a Bruenor build that aims to maximize DPS.
7Acid Resistance Axe
Bruenor, of all people, knows the value of good defensive tactics. Why strike a foe down when their own attack could be used against them? And why bother using twin blades when a single swing of a shield does as much damage?
Bruenor’s Acid Resistance Axe is a reflection of this approach, as an inherently weaker enemy can naturally do less damage. When equipped with other parts of this set, Bruenor can gain more benefits:

6Necrotic Resistance Axe
When Crenshinibon, the Crystal Shard, makes itself a threat once again to the Forgotten Realms, it makes sense for some to use its own dark powers to fight it. Bruenor’s Necrotic Resistance Axe is such an example, as it highlights the wicked qualities of the shard in a way that repels even the monsters that serve it.

When equipped with its other set pieces, the Axe can give Bruenor more benefits.
5Battlerager Axe
Thibbledorf Pwent has a love for battle so intense that a werewolf once rejected his request to be turned. As a Battlerager Dwarf – or a member of the Gutbuster Brigade, in Thibbledorf’s words – Bruenor trusts in the might of his hammer to do the talking.
Thanks to the Battlerager Axe, Bruenor can capitalize on the weapon set to maximize his threat mitigation potential. This Axe effectively encourages Bruenor toget in the frontlines to keep punishing foes.

4Battlehammer King Axe
Moradin serves as the God of the Forge and maker of the Dwarves – and despite his creation’s penchant for grumpiness, Moradin sought to uphold righteousness in his craft. As highlighted by the Battlehammer King Axe and its companion armors, Moradin’s teachings sought the forge not to destroy but to preserve creation. With Moradin’s blessing, Bruenor with the Battlehammer King Axe rules combat as a protector.

As with other Axes, the Battlehammer King Axe acquires other properties through its rarity. When combined with different pieces of the set, Bruenor also acquires other benefits.
3Duergar Infiltrator Axe
Unlike their other cousins, the Grey Dwarves care less about the look of their craft – for them, function always bests form. To Duergar, a performing tool is just as worthy as any gold-adorned masterpiece. True to the words of their patron deity Laduguar, the Duergar Infiltrator Axe is one such tool – ordinary-looking at best, but damnably good in getting past enemy defenses.
When equipped with the other parts of its set, the Duergar Infiltrator Axe gives Bruenor more opportunities to eliminate threats. Bruenors with a penchant for DPS will love this Axe.

2Coldstone Guardian Axe
Despite his grumpy nature, Bruenor’s rather stone-cold perspective into defending his homeland’s honor is true. And the Coldstone Guardian Axe signifies his grandfather King Garumn Battlehammer’s lasting teachings. Thanks to him, Bruenor’s battle-hardened resolve makes its way to combat.
As with his other Axes, the Coldstone Guardian Axe can gain more attunements depending on rarity. And when equipped with other pieces of its set, Bruenor gains perks. This set encouragesa more combative tank buildfor Bruenor.

1Goblin Bane Axe
Thanks to unfortunate encounters with their fair share of goblins and other monsters, Drizzt soon gained the trust and respect of the wizened Bruenor. And funnily enough, Drizzt got to respect the crude yet effective battle strategies of the Dwarf. It’s the Goblin Bane Axe that becomes a testament to Bruenor’snewfound loyalty and friendship to Drizzt.
At its core, the Goblin Bane Axe specializes in threat mitigation.
