The amount of new items just waiting to be found inElden Ring’sShadow of the ErdtreeDLC is honestly staggering. This DLC is massivein every sense of the word, withtons of new Armor Sets, Spells, Weapons, Incantations, Talismans, and even Consumables to find spread across the Shadow Lands.

One particular Consumable that caught people’s attention is the Inner Meat, an item that commonly drops from the absolute body horror enemies that are the insides of the Warrior Jars. So, let’s go over this newElden Ringitem in complete detail.

Innard Meat, surprisingly, is not a Consumable that you eat or ‘use’, but rather one that you throw similar to the different Throwing Pots, the Kukuri, and so on.Because of other meat-related Consumables such as Meat Dumplings, most of us assumed that we’d be ingesting the Innard Meat, but instead, we’re actually chucking it at enemies.

The Erdtree in Elden Ring

That’s right, when this Consumable is equipped to the Quick Bar and used, the Tarnished chucks the chunk of meat at whatever enemy you’re locked on to, dealing damage on-hit. You might think hitting an enemy with this would build towards some Status Ailment like Rot or Poison, but it literally just deals damage. While we won’t exactly complain about having another ranged throwing option available, it is odd to add one that has such a boring effect and such mediocre damage.

Where To Find Innard Meat

Look For The Gigantic Masses of Meat

If, for some reason, you want to truly play the part of a Potentate or Warrior Jar Cosplayer and you want to useprimarily Throwing Pots and other Jar-related items, there are areas of the Shdaow Lands where you can farm Innard Meat rather easily. This item only drops off these Condemned Jar Meat enemies, and these items are primarily found in the Gaol dungeons typically found underground. They can also be sparsely found in specific areas of the Shadow Keep, but your best bet is absolutely going to be the Gaols.

However, for some reason, this doesn’t seem to be the most common drop, and you’ll likely have to kill a fair number of these disgusting hunks of meat to get one to drop, but thankfully every enemy in this DLC seems to drop a hefty about of Runes when killed, so farming for Innard Meat also doubles as decent Rune farming. The two best Gaols for finding these enemies are the Bonny Gaol, found in Scadu Altus, and the Belurat Gaol in the Gravesite Plains.

To be honest, it feels like this Consumable has some other purpose that fans haven’t figured out yet, as it feels almost too mundane to use the Innard Meat of these Jars as a simple projectile, but as of now, this is all we know about this item.
