Updated on July 30, 2025, by Mehrdad Khayyat:Iron Fist Alexander is one of the most beloved NPCs in Elden Ring, although the end of his questline is not a happy one for either him or the Tarnished. That being said, the NPC holds access to two different talismans that could benefit players a lot in their fights against bosses.
Both talismans boost the attack of power of skills but with different scales. The better version of the talisman can only be obtained after finishing the questline, and that won’t be possible until near the endgame. However, the talisman’s base version could be earned quite earlier in Limgrave.

TheShard of Alexander offers a higher boost to weapon skill damagebut is only obtained much later in the game, towards the end. The Warrior Jar Shard can be found very early in the game, and fighting Alexander so early won’t pose much of a challenge. The Warrior Jar Shard Talisman is a great boost early in the game and can make Ashes of War deadly against the weaker enemies ofLimgrave.
Other items are obtained throughout Alexander’s quest line, but the best only benefits those who utilize pot consumables, such asSleeping Pots inElden Ring. There are lots of powerful Talisman to perfect an endgame build, and players not worrying about seeing Alexander’s story shouldget the Warrior Jar Shard as they will get more use of it throughout the game.
