Although PlayStation and Xbox were the first major companies to begin giving away monthly games to their customers,Epic Gameshas slowly but surely adopted that model and arguably become renown as the most generous of the three. Its free monthly games service not only gives away some huge titles, such asGrand Theft Auto 5, Just Cause 4,Celeste,and theArkhamtrilogy, but it also does so with no paid subscription fee attached.
The latest in the companies line-up of free titles have just been announced, with Epic revealing to its fanbase that they’ll be receiving a whopping four new games over the next few months. This is supposedly to compensate forConan Exilesbeing pulled from the service yesterday, with Epic Games making up for fan disappointment by offering additional titles in its stead.

The first of the new games is available right now, with the title being award-winning puzzle adventure gameHue.Coming in at a respectable 79 on Metacritic,Huesees players embark on a journey to find their mother, solving a number of fun problems along the way by using colors to traverse across environments. It will be available until July 9. The next batch of games will become available followingHue’sstint on the storefront, with the biggest beingKilling Floor 2.Tripwire Interactive’s popular multiplayer first-person shooter, the game sees players mow down waves of demonic enemies, with the title being heavily praised for its intense violence and gore. It’s currently sitting with a strong 75 on Metacritic.
AlongsideKilling Floor 2,there’s alsoThe Escapists 2,which was originally meant to hit The Epic Games Store’s free rollout back in mid-June. As many will remember, Epic revealed that there were unforeseen complications with the title, pushing it back to a later date. We now know that it will be available on July 9, bringing the quirky, super fun prison RPG to players without the price tag. The fourth and final game isLifeless Planet,a title where players take on the role of a wandering astronaut as they investigate a seemingly desolate planet in search of life. It bagged a mixed score of 59 on Metacritic when it dropped in 2014, however, players who want to give the game a crack can do so free of charge.
All four games are definitely some worthy additions to any PC player’s library, with each offering a vastly different experience.
