Fortnitewas already a unique experience when it first launched back in July of 2017. Itput the classic Battle Royale genre back in the spotlight of gaming, leading to many other games trying their hand at the formula since. One thing that has helpedFortniteremain fresh for as long as it has is the implementation of seasons.
Each season allows players to unlock special items in a Battle Pass, play different kinds of limited-time game modes, and bring new map changes that can really affect how games are played. There have been 32 full seasons, two OG seasons, and one mini-season, with each one having a huge impact on the game. Some of them have been a lot more memorable than others, though.

35Chapter 2 Season 8
Fortnite Cubed
Chapter 2 Season 8 was the last season of the secondFortnitechapter. It had some interesting concepts, such as The Mothership; it introduced gamers to the iconic Fabio Sparklemane had Carnage as part of its Battle Pass, but despite this, it can be considered somewhat unmemorable when compared to some more exciting or nostalgic-riddled seasons.
34Chapter 4 Season 3
Fortnite Wilds
FortniteWILDS brought a lot of interesting concepts to the table, but it just wasn’t as captivating as it could’ve been, so it ended up being rather forgettable. It was released once the MEGA Season came to an end, so after such a chaotic and fun season, it fell short of some fans' expectations. However, it did introduce players to the jungle biome as well as mud, an interesting new gameplay mechanic, and it added lots of fun temples filled with loot ready to be explored.
33Chapter 5 Season 3
Wrecked
FortniteWrecked gave fans some seriousMad Maxvibes when it was first released, which got many of them excited. However, once it actually started, it became clear that the vehicles were overpowered, which made it difficult to counter them at all. So, those who didn’t have a highly modded car knew that they would be eliminated if they came across one.
This made it feel like it was mandatory to immediately find a car and the best modifications for it. Epic Games tried nerfing vehicles and adding counters, such as the Heavy Impact Sniper, but it wasn’t enough to balance the game. It wasn’t all bad - Chapter 5 Season 3 did introduce cool elements, such as nitro-infused items and the Slurp Cactus. The addition of Wastelander Challenges was also a fun way to get more XP.

32Galactic Battle
Chapter 6 Mini Season
Galactic Battle was the first official mini-season inFortnite. At first, gamers were quite excited to get aStar Warsmini-seasonthroughout the entire month of May, but the lack of fun updates made it stale pretty fast for some fans.
While a lot of content was added when the season came out, gamers played through all of it within the first couple of days and then were left waiting for another update for two whole weeks. Considering that the season only lasted about five weeks, it meant they had to wait half of the season for more excitement. Either way, it was a fun way to break from the routine, but the stream of content could’ve been distributed differently.

31Chapter 1 Season X
Out of Time
Though the black hole climax was undeniably epic and the return of somefan-favorite locationswas a nice touch, Season X ofFortnitejust didn’t offer up nearly enough new content to keep the game feeling fresh. There were hardly any new cosmetics in the battle pass, with players instead having to make do with upgraded skins from Season 9. The changes made to gameplay weren’t bad, per se, but the sheer volume of them was perhaps a little overwhelming to some players.
30Chapter 5 Season 2
Myths & Mortals
There is no doubt that Chapter 5 Season 2 had one of the most anticipated and interesting season themes to date. However, it could’ve been better executed. Even though gamers were excited to see awesome gods, goddesses, legendary creatures, and even items from known ancient Greek myths, it ended up being overshadowed by excessive collaborations.
When theAvatarevent was released, seasonal items, such as the Wings of Icarus, the Thunderbolt of Zeus, and the Chains of Hades, were vaulted for two weeks. Then, when it ended, theStar Warsevent went live. When all of it was over, the season was a few days away from ending. On top of this, the overpowered Waterbending technique remained in the game, which caused quite a lot of discontent from the community.

29Chapter 6 Season 1
Hunters
FortniteHunters had the advantage of being the first season of a brand-new chapter, which always has fans more excited than usual. On top of that, it had an interesting theme that coincided with MEGA Season, but not enough to bother fans.
Unfortunately, it provided a weak start to a chapter, as its story fell short. The characters and the storyline behind them felt bland. On top of that, the quests were long, repetitive, and a real nuisance to complete. Players had to go back and forth to talk to NPCs or eliminate enemies. And, in the case of the latter, most of the time, there weren’t enough demon enemies for everyone on the map, which ruined the fun and made some fans lose interest in the story altogether.

28Chapter 2 Season 1
A New World
After a couple of days of downtime,Fortnitereturned with a brand new map and the longest season to date. Sadly, like Season X, the first season of Chapter 2 was a little underwhelming, with very few updates coming throughout the season.
The addition of boats and fishing was kind of cool, as was the harpoon, but many fans were expecting a little more after the epic conclusion of Chapter 1.

27Chapter 6 Season 2
Lawless
FortniteLawless paid special attention to bank robbery and gathering gold. Players had several banks scattered across the map, and they were incentivized to perform heists and collect tons of gold and Dill Coins. Players could then take the currency that they obtained and spend it all on the Black Market. It was an obscure yet fun theme.
Despite the fun gameplay, there was one thing that felt lacking in Chapter 6 Season 2: the story. The story that had been created in Chapter 6 Season 1, centered around Daigo, was very much part of the background in Season 2. There was a pseudo-live event where a portal showed up on the map, but it didn’t feel important at all.

26Chapter 4 Season 4
Last Resort
Chapter 4 Season 4 was the last season of the fourth chapter, so it was the last time that players got to enjoy Asteria Island before it was replaced. Even though the heist theme was quite interesting, it fell short for many gamers, especially compared to Chapter 2 Season 2, which was arguably a more entertaining version of it with now classicFortniteskins.
On top of this, the skins included in the Last Resort Battle Pass were not memorable at all; it is unlikely that gamers in the future will recall any of its skins besides Ahsoka and Fish Thicc.
