Summary
OneFallout 4player has created a lifelike player character version of Norm, the younger brother of main character Lucy MacLean from the games' Amazon Prime streaming television adaptation. WhileFallout 4and other games in the series have been getting more attention since the release of the television series, Norm hasn’t been the character on most players' minds when they’re starting up a new run.
Portrayed in the series by actor Moises Arias, Norm is a special character inFallout, leading with his intellect, while characters like Lucy, Maximus, and Coop rely mainly on diplomacy, power armor, and guns, respectively. As the most-featured character remaining in the three interconnected vaults, his inquisitive nature and investigative skills have earned the admiration of a lot of fans who are invested in themystery aspects ofFallout.

This new in-game version of Norm, shared on Reddit by user turgidstir, won’t be staying underground, however, as he’ll be venturing out into The Commonwealth in search of his son. A lot ofFalloutfans have chimed in with theories about the in-game Norm’sSPECIAL stats, arguing about whether Norm would have his Charisma maxed or tanked, although most agree that he’d have most of his points dropped into Intelligence. The creator didn’t post the list of stats they gave to Norm, although they seemed to indicate their belief that Norm should have a high Charisma score. Charisma isn’t just looks, after all, but a commanding presence, whether friendly or terrifying, and turgidstir believes the version of Norm from the television series will begin to show signs of both charismatic aspects as the seasons roll on.
Not An Exact Recreation of Fallout’s Norm
While most of the comment section seems amused by the concept of playing throughFallout 4as Norm, a few fans were critical of the overly large forehead that the creator gave to the character. According to turgidstir, the choice wasn’t exactly by design, as that forehead size was the smallest available that theFallout 4character creatorwill allow for characters with that specific haircut while still maintaining a chin shape to match the actor.
Norm may not be the most common choice for a player character, but there is an ongoing trend ofFalloutplayers recreating characters from the show. While Norm’s big sister and her pre-war ghoulish mentor still seem to be taking center stage, the television show’s popularity means there will likely be plenty of more familiar-looking player characters introduced down the line.
