It’s no surprise that there is a notable lack of automobiles inFar CryPrimal. After all, the game is set in a more primitive time. 8Leopard

In reality, one shouldn’t seek out a leopard and attempt to pet it, but for some reason,Far CryPrimalhas some loving leopards that just love a good pet. The Leopard is a decent ally to the player, as they can tag animals that are located within range of the player. This is a fairly decent range and helps players keep aware of their surroundings from hostile predators.

Taming a leopard might not be as common as one would hope, but thanks to their white fur coat, they are easy enough to spot. The real problem with leopards lies in theirreliance on stealth. They’re great at it, but pretty useless outside of it, and are on the weaker side of tamed beasts.

7Rare Black Jaguar

Does it come in black? Yes, it does. The rare black jaguar prioritizes stealth, and for good reason. The black coat of the black jaguar helps it blend in at night, making it a useful ally, and a scary predator ally. The rare black jaguar has a superior strength to that of the normal jaguars, which makes it the best option out of the felines.

Due to the black fur coat, most enemiesand animals will not notice the black jaguar until it is already too late for them. These black jaguars are talented at stealth, but can certainly hold their own when spotted, and are capable of some great damage.

6Brown Bear

What the bear lacks in speed, it more than makes up for with strength. The brown bear is by no means a stealthy ally, and it doesn’t need to be. The brown bear is huge, and slow, meaning stealth with this beast partner is practically impossible. The focus of the brown bear is to garner the enemy’s attention and keep them distracted so that the player can commit to some surprise attacks, or get deadly with the bear by their side.

Another bonus of the brown bear is the fact that it may find an item that it digs up during its idle. Not only bear a great ally for defense and attack but they can be ridden. Who wouldn’t want to ride a furry tractor, and attack while doing it?

5Cave Bear

Just like the brown bear, the cave bear should not be used by lovers of stealth. This beast is meant for one thing and one thing only: to destroy. However, the cave bear is slightly faster than the brown bear, which makes it a superior choice, especially when one considers just how badlyvillains will want to runaway in fright over the fact that a cave bear is chasing them.

The downside to the cave bear doesn’t just come from the fact that stealth is a near impossibility, but from the fact that they cannot be ridden like the brown bears. However, they more than makeup for it with loyalty, as cave bears willprotect the player, no matter the fight.

4Sabretooth Tiger

Perhaps the poster beast ofFar CryPrimaland the majority of Stone Age creatures is that the sabretooth tiger. Thisprimalanimal may be extinct, but the way they act inFar CryPrimalproves that it should have been mankind in its stead. They are one of the fastest predators inFar CryPrimal, and with the right skill, they can be ridden across thevastness of the map.

Sabretooth tigers do not lack stealth or loud play, and they can happily commit to another style of play. They should be utilized as a mount, as traversing long distances with sabretooth tigers is a great way to travel, and be comfortable.

3Snowblood Wolf

Considering that wolves were one of mankind’s earliest friends, and now modern life has dogs, it’s no surprise that a Snowblood Wolf would take one of the top spots as the best beasts inFar CryPrimal. This primitive wolf is rather menacing, as the fur is soaked and stained with crimson blood. Luckily, if tamed right, this won’t be the player’s blood.

These are the rarest wolves, and for good reason. They are stronger and far better at stealth. The wolf will even howl after a kill as if respecting a hunt. What’s even more special about this wolf is the fact that to obtain it, one must obtain a special mission first.

2Great Scar Bear

The great scar bear doesn’t get its name for anything, as it is riddled with battle wounds, including arrows still stuck in its back. The great scar bear is the best of the bears inFar CryPrimal. Even enemies seem to have a hard time looking at the bear, become intimidated by its size and wounds, and often run the other way.

This bear is very hard to kill, making it a tank-like bear for the player’s party. Despite being so large, this bear is sadly not rideable. Players should take this bear with them if they are planning a siege, or going to full-on war with the world around them.

1Bloodfang Sabretooth

Upon first inspection, the bloodfang sabretooth may look like it hits the gym more than the other sabretooth in the game. The reason that the bloodfang sabretooth is so good is because of its high stats in strength and speed, and its surprisingly good stats in stealth, considering its size. The bloodfang sabretooth seems unstoppable, as it is fast, strong, and stealthy.

It’s an absolute powerhouse of a beast inFar CryPrimal, and will happily hunt every living thing that is a threat to itself and the player. Other than fast travel, the bloodfang sabretooth is the quickest way to get to locations, due to its fast speed and the fact it can be ridden.
