Final Fantasy 14has incredibly fun and often challenging raids, making this type of content one that many players await eagerly when a new expansion is released. They are so unique and significant thatit can be difficult to pick the best, even considering solely the Normal Raids in the game.
AfterEndwalkerexplored more of the world unsunderedwith the Pandaemonium raid,Dawntrailadded the Arcadion raid series toFinal Fantasy 14. This time, the stakes are fairly lower (the world won’t end if you fail, though some souls will remain in need of saving), and the setting is very different from everything seen in the previous raids. How To Unlock The AAC Light-Heavyweight Raid In FF14
The first section of the Arcadion raid is called theAAC Light-Heavyweight, added in patch 7.01, and it will be available after you complete the level 100Main Scenario Quest “Dawntrail”. The quest that unlocks it is called"A New Challenger Appears",and it can be picked up inthe expansion’s endgame hub,Solution Nine, which is heavily tied to the raid’s concept and initial story.
Speak to the Stylish Stranger (X: 19.2, Y: 18.8) inTrue Vue, located in the Recreation Zone. He will tell you about the Arcadion, the combat arena where the Ascension Arcadia Championship is held - and, of course, he wants you to participate as a fighter. Earlier in the game, it was noted the arena had been closed, but it’s being reopened now, and your popularity could be used to make things more interesting and distract people from their recent losses and suffering.
The next step is to head inside the Arcadion by speaking to the Arcadion Attendant (X: 19.6, Y: 21.3). Before Metem (previously known as the Stylish Stranger) can explain more to you, the other competitors will make an appearance. After the cutscene, you will be inside the Greenroom, where you must interact with Metem (X: 6.1, Y: 6.0) again to complete the quest.
If you need to leave the Greenroom, you’re able to always go back later by speaking to the Attendant again.
Speak to Metem again inside the Greenroom to pick up the level 100 quest"The Claw in the Dark". You will be introduced to your first opponent: Black Cat. This will unlock theAAC Light-Heavyweight M1, the first of the raid’s encounters, which will then be available in the Duty Finder.
Do note that, on top of needing a level 100 Disciple of War or Magic job, you’ll need an Average Item Level of 685 to enter the raid.
Clear the fight and watch the cutscene that will follow to finish the quest. This will make the level 100 quest"Sweet Poison"available with Metem (X: 6.1, Y: 5.9) inside the Greenroom. Watch the cutscene in which you’ll be introduced to your next opponent andAAC Light-Heavyweight M2will be unlocked. Clear it and Black Cat will introduce herself as Yaana in the cutscene that will follow, offering to give you support on the road to becoming champion. Complete the quest by speaking to Yaana inside the Greenroom.
The level 100 quest"Yaana’s Yarn"can be picked up in the same place by speaking to Yaana (X: 6.1, Y: 5.9). Leave the Arcadion and, after a cutscene, you will be with her in the Recreation Zone, right in front of her gym. Talk to Yaana again and you will both enter the gym, where you will be introduced to her younger sister Neyuni. They will also tell you about their older sister, Eutrope, who was a great champion in the Arcadion, but disappeared without a word. After talking to them some more, return to the Arcadion Attendant and enter the Greenroom to speak to Yaana (X: 6.1, Y: 5.8) again and finish the quest.
Yaana will also give you the next quest,“Vile Heat”. Speak to her, and she will introduce you to your next opponent, the current champion of the light-heavyweight division. The next part of the raid will then be available, andAAC Light-Heavyweight M3can be accessed through the Duty Finder. Beat the Brute Bomber to continue the story, speak to Yaana in the Greenroom, and then talk to her again to complete the quest.
There will be another cutscene, in which Eutrope will make a shocking appearance. After the Arcadion approves an official match between you two and the cutscene ends, interact with Yaana again in the Greenroom to pick up the quest"The Neoteric Witch". This will unlock the next and final fight in this section of the raid,AAC Light-Heavyweight M4. Clear it, then talk to Yaana again in the same place. You will have to interact with her again in front of her gym (X: 22.2, Y: 16.6) and, after a lengthy cutscene, interact with her once more to complete the quest and finish the first part ofDawntrail’s Normal Raid. The other tiers will be released in future patches, but in the meanwhile, there is muchplayers can do after finishing theDawntrailMSQsand initial raid tier, includingcollecting the new mountsorunlocking the magical ranged DPS job Pictomancerand themelee DPS Viper inFinal Fantasy 14.
