As players near the end (there’s 18chapters in theFinal Fantasy 7 Remake), they will see many of their decisions pay off in chapter 14. There’s plenty that have immediate effects like the bomb timer and those that don’t have a serious influence, but the hardest choices inFF7 Remakeare the ones whose consequences aren’t immediate. Many of these choices lead up to this iconic moment: the Chapter 14 resolution scene.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Chapter 14: Tifa’s Resolution
Tifa’s resolution scene is a direct result of more nuanced and reflective decisions on Tifa’s behalf. Players will want to take “her side” answers and the more obvious ones to gain her approval to receive this scene; for example, players will need to accept her offer of a “hard drink” early on in the episode. Obviously, this decisions are far-reaching, but it seems that other choices likeTifa’s dressare mostly inconsequential to the resolution scene. The best bet is to take Tifa’s drink early in the game, to say “she’s in great shape” during the Girl We’re Looking for side mission option in chapter 9, and check on her in the sewer first. Players should choose the opposite answers as outlined in the Aerith resolution.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Chapter 14: Aerith’s Resolution
In many ways, receivingAerith’s resolution scene is the direct opposite of Tifa’s. The choices for Aerith are similar at least in fashion and tone to Tifa, with players required to accept the flowers, to say anything but “how much” in the Stay the Night? dialogue, to compliment her outfit in chapter 9, and to check on her first in the sewers. TheFF7 Remakeside quest dialogues in chapter 9 are the most in the air on if they influence her resolution scene, but it doesn’t hurt to put Aerith first as much as possible. Players should choose the opposite answers as outlined in the Tifa resolution.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Chapter 14: Barret’s Resolution
The third resolution scene belongs toBarretand may, unintentionally, be the hardest or easiest to get for some, depending on playstyle. Essentially, players must do the opposite of all of the above. Do no take flowers from Aerith, do not take Tifa’s drink, give the wrong answer in required dialogues, and skip the side mission dialogues altogether (though proper answers here will still result in Barret’s Resolution). This is the best option for those who can’t decide between Tifa and Aerith, and it’s worth mentioning the game tracks how many of these scenesFF7 Remakeplayers have seen.
