TheFortniteBattle Royale map is huge; it has the capacity to hold 100 players competing for the Victory Royale, as well as the several other characters that inhabit its land. As gamers traverse through theFortniteisland, they’ll come across tons of friendly people who can provide unique services, and some of them will even join them until the end of the match. However, there are also malicious characters that players will definitely have to watch out for.

The item pool is not the same as it was when the season started; some Augments have been vaulted and others have made a comeback; and new NPCs have been added to the game.
This guide has been updated in order to remain as accurate as possible. It contains information on recently added Snapshot Quests and recently added NPCs. While at first there were only 16 characters on the island, this number has progressively increased, and players can now talk to a total of 28 NPCs.
Friendly Character Locations and Services
The battle royale island has 28 different characters that players can meet. Each character has its own unique set of available services. Players can even complete character Snapshot Quests toincrease Repwith some NPCs and increase the services they have at their disposal.
Unlike Reality Augments, players must find and talk to each character to add their entry to the Character Collection book.

Other NPCs
There are other characters wandering around the battle royale island inFortnite, but they’re either hostile or random encounters.
Players will come across powerful bosses and henchmen that will attack them on sight. These can be found protecting the vaults atEclipsed Estate, Relentless Retreat, Sanguine Suites, Slappy Shores, Rumble Ruins, and Mega City, and they can also be foundguarding theForecast Towersspread throughout the island. These characters can be defeated to gain access to exclusive loot and abilities.
There are non-hostile NPCs that spawn randomly on the island as well. These characters tend to have useful loot around them, but they might also be available for hire or be engaged in a duel with another random NPC. Thankfully,these characters won’t attack the player unless they shoot first.
