Fortniteplayers have found a harvesting tool that can be modified to look just like Darth Maul’s notorious Lightsaber. On May 2,Fortnitereleased update v24.30 for the battle royale mode, and with it came a a major crossover event. Once again, the game teamed up with theStar Warsfranchise to celebrate May the 4th, but this time around on a much bigger scale. Fans were blown away when it was announced thatFortnitewould have its ownStar Wars-themed Battle Pass.

Although this version of the Battle Pass is much smaller, it contains multipleStar Warsskins that gamers get to unlock for a mere 1,000 V-Bucks - this includes Darth Maul himself. The event is live until May 23, and once it comes to an end, players will be able to purchase the skin in the Item Shop, but they will certainly be more pricey. For now, they canunlock Darth Maul by completing theFortniteFind the Force pass.

There is only one feature that some players weren’t too happy with, and that’s Darth Maul’s in-game pickaxe. Epic Games chose Maul’s Poleaxe as hisFortniteharvesting tool; this vibro-ax is a much lesser-known weapon used by the Sith Lord to take down rathtars. Fans of theStar Warsmovies wanted him to wield his infamous Lightsaber instead, and that is why they came up with their own version of it, using the Omni Sword harvesting tool.

The Omni Sword is a highly customizable harvesting tool with styles that players could unlock if they collected Omni Chips. It can no longer be obtained, unfortunately, as it was included with theChapter 3 Season 2 Battle Passback in early 2022. Creative gamers came up with the idea to change its top and bottom blades to a Lightsaber-like shape and to also change its color to red. It looks quite similar to Darth Maul’s Lightsaber since it’s made out of a material that resembles plasma.

AlthoughLightsabers can be found inFortniteand even used as weapons, they haven’t been turned into harvesting tools yet. Despite many players asking for this addition to the game, it is possible that it will never happen; variousStar Warsevents have occurred, and it would be confusing for other players if they spotted someone with a harvesting tool that would look exactly like an in-game weapon.
