Detailed on Epic Games' website, The Emerald Archer will be arriving in-game on December 31 at 4:00 p.m. PST. Compared to most of the other comic book-accurate skins, it appearsFortnitedecided to go the live-action route. The skin is modeled after actor Stephen Amell fromthe popularArrowTV series, which wrapped up its eighth and final season earlier this year. Green Arrow brought his supplies as well, including a Tactical Quiver Back Bling and a Boxing Glove Pickaxe. However, there is one stipulation forFortnitefans to get the character - signing up forFortniteCrew.
It’s a good sign to see more characters from DC Comics enter the fray. The past season’s focus had been primarily on Marvel heroes and villains, so perhaps it’s DC’s time to shine. The last time a DC character was announced was withthe Joker-themed cosmetic bundleback in August. Although the announcement of Oliver Queen is now official, there was a Green Arrow skin leak about a week ago. However, his exclusivity withFortniteCrew will likely come as news to fans.
Chapter 2 Season 5 ofFortnitehas brought quite a few changes to the battle royale. In addition to introducing a bunch of new mechanics, Epic continues to add characters from unexpected places. These includeGod of War’s Kratos,Halo’s Master Chief, Daryl and Michonne fromThe Walking Dead, and now DC’s Green Arrow. It’s anybody’s guess who will get brought in next.
Fortniteis available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
