Lost Ark, the free-to-play fantasy MMORPG has taken over the gaming world as of late. Though initially releasing at the end of 2019, the end of 2021 and beginning of 2022 has seen an enormous amount of players hopping onLost Arkafter it became popular with some streamers. Notably famousWorld of Warcraftstreamer Asmongoldhas been praisingLost Ark, specifically its endgame content, which he states is better than that ofFinal Fantasy 14.
As a massively multiplayer online title,Lost Arkfeatures much of the content typically associated with similar titles in this genre. There’s grinding for loot, multiple quests to be taken alongside the main narrative, and of course, raids, where a number of players can take on increasingly difficult enemies leading up to an epic final boss fight. One such piece of content is the Guardian Raid. Guardians are huge beasts inthe lore ofLost Ark, and often covet some impressive loot that the player can access in the raid.

Vertus, a huge scaly beast with a large horn and spikes is the Guardian of the Guardian Raid Level 1. These raids are advised for those looking for some endgame activity inLost Ark, and the Guardian Raid Level 1 needs players to be level 420 to participate. For some, who’ve made their way quickly through all the main content inLost Ark, leaving their friends behind, this can mean they may have to face the raid solo. For one player on Reddit though, facing Vertus solo has proved to be quite the challenge.
In a short clip posted to Reddit, theLost Arkplayer combined all the times when Vertus managed to grab them, slamming them into the ground for some devastating damage. This eventually results in the player receiving a “raid failed” screen, showing that Raid Bosses truly aren’t meant to be faced alone. Like similarmultiplayer games such asDestiny 2, raids are taken on by large groups of players, though one extremely skilled player can pull off a raid alone. Even after getting beaten by Vertus, thisLost Arkplayer revealed in the comments of their Reddit post that they managed to bring the beast down solo.
Lost Arkplayers aren’t only sharing their raid experiences with the game though. ConsideringLost Ark’sboom in popularity, the game has had some server issues resulting in huge wait times for players, something that the community has been vocal about on more than one occasion. In game as well, there’s been jokes about overlysexualized outfits available for the sorceress.
