To onlookers, Brink_2_’s cause might seem futile, but it wouldn’t be the first time the Microsoft-owned publisher has made a sequel to a cult game. Microsoft’s acquisition of the publisher and all its subsidiary studios has allowed Bethesda the time to work on smaller-scale games like Tango Softworks’sHi-Fi Rush. The rhythm-adventure game was announced as a shadow drop to Xbox Game Pass in January 2023 and has been a surprise hit for Bethesda, leadingTango Softworks creating additional challenges forHi-Fi Rushplayers in recent months.
