AGenshin Impactfan-made concept shows a popular character named Guizhong working on a Yu-Gi-Oh dueling disk. HoYoverse recently added a new game mode named Genius Invokation TCG which features a variety of different characters from the playable roster as well as their unique kit.

Even though theGenshin Impactusually does not tweak the power of their characters once they officially join the playable roster, the developer has confirmed that the new TCG game mode will receive adjustments in future patches to ensure that certain types of decks don’t become overpowered. Since its release back in 3.3, Genius Invokation has become a fan-favorite part of the game for many players, especially since it does not require Resin, unlike many other activities in the world of Teyvat.

Genshin Impacthas released a new story teaser named Echoes of the Heart which features a number oflegendary characters from the Liyue region. One of those characters is Guizhong, also known as the Lord of Dust, who used to be the leader of the Guily Assembly which is an ancient civilization in Liyue known for its highly advanced inventions. Inspired by Guizhong’s dedication to engineering, a Reddit user named MechPlayer has created an interesting piece of art showing the legendary inventor working on a Duel Disk which is an iconic piece of equipment from the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise.

The Duel Disk was first manufactured by Kaiba Corporation, and it made its first appearance in the earlier seasons of the anime. Fans seem to like the whole concept as the post reached almost 4k upvotes on the officialGenshin Impactsubreddit with many comments claiming that they would love to see a similar gadget being implemented in the game. Some players claim that HoYoverse should also try to find a way toadd older characters like Guizhong to the playable roster.

Despite being one of the most important characters in Liyue’s ancient civilization, Guizhong was not particularly powerful, at least compared to her close friends which include the Geo Archon. Overall, players seem very satisfied withthe new Genius Invokation TCGas it offers a completely different gaming experience.

It’s also a great solution toone ofGenshin Impact’s main problemswhich is the lack of permanent content. The Spiral Abyss domain used to be the only permanent end-game mode before and once players cleared all of its floors, there were no real reasons to return until the next monthly reset.

Genshin Impactis available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
