A skilledGenshin Impactfan took to social media to share imressive pixel art they made of Cyno, one of the latest additions to the hit RPG’s ever-growing character roster. TheGenshin Impact-inspired artwork includes several poses and a close-up portrait, which reimagines Cyno as a 16-bit character while staying remarkably true to the design of its original, high-definition model.

Cyno is one of a dozen playable Electro characters inGenshin Impact. He can be encountered in Sumeru, the game’s most recently released region, which debuted as part of theGenshin Impact3.0 updatein late August. Cyno himself, however, was only added to the popular RPG last month, along with Candace. Besides Raiden Shogun, he is the only other Electro polearm wielder in the game.

Reddit user kisk123 shared a couple of 16-bit sprites of an idling and battle-ready Cyno. The artist also authored a character portrait of the Lupus Aureus-affiliated hero against a purple background associated withGenshin Impact’sElectro element. All three of these fan-made renditions are extremely detailed and wouldn’t look out of place inFinal Fantasy IV, or many other iconic 16-bit games. In terms of style, effort, and execution, this fan art is reminiscent ofthe pixel art Viridescent Venerer Setwhich circulated social media earlier this year.

Niche Hydro character Nilouis the only other playable hero that HoYoverse added toGenshin Impactsince Cyno and Cadance made their way to the hit RPG in late September. The Chinese developer already hinted at the next additions to the game’s character roster, which is soon expected to receive Dendro users Al-Haitham and Kusanali, as well as a Pyro-wielding character called Dehya. While all three heroes are likely to debut by the end of the year, HoYoverse has yet to attach a specific release date to any one of them.

Since ongoingGenshin Impactdevelopment is currently focused on the Sumeru region, the game should offer a much wider range of playable Dendro characters in the near future. The list of those capable of wielding this grass element is still fairly slim; not accounting for the player avatar, there’s only Collei and Tighnari to choose from. While both of them are arguably amongthe best bow users inGenshin Impact, Dendro will need a more versatile list of characters before it can truly carve its place in the game’s current meta.

Genshin Impactis available on Android, iOS, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch port is also in development.
