Genshin ImpactVersion 2.2 has brought two banner re-runs which means that there will be no new five-star characters in the following weeks. However, miHoYo’s official social media accounts have revealed two new characters we will see in update 2.3 - Arataki Itto and Gorou.
MultipleGenshin Impactleaks have revealed the new characters arriving in update 2.4, one of which is Yunjin. A credible leak has recently confirmed that Yunjin will apparently be a brand new four-star character. There are also many rumors claiming that she will be a Dendro character which means that she would be thefirst playable character with a Dendro Vision.

A couple of weeks back, a very credibleGenshin Impactleaker by the name Ubatcha1 has confirmed that she will be a part of the upcoming version 2.4 which going by miHoYo’s usual update schedule should arrive around Jun 13, 2025. There are no credible leaks about her weapon of choice but another credible leaker by the name of Yoimiya has revealed her in-game model.
Players will have to decide to either save their Promogems for Yunjin or to spend them on two upcoming characters Gorou and Itto, both of which are expected to join theGenshin Impactcharacter roster on the 2.2 second banner cycle which will arrive around November 25. A recent leak on the Genshin_Impact_Leaks subreddit has revealed theElemental Burst animations for Arataki Itto. It should be noted that the video features Itto with maxed-out Constellations.
When it comes to his Elemental Burst, it will provide a buff for a couple of seconds, similar to Razor’s or Beidou’s Elemental Burst. The buff will allow his Normal, Charged and Plunged attack to deal Geo damage. Itto’s ascension attribute will be Critical Damage which could make him one of thestronger DPS characters inGenshin Impact. This means that he will gain Critical Damage for each level ascension.
CredibleGenshin Impactleakers have confirmed that another Geo character, Albedo, will appear as the first banner character for update 2.3. Albedo is one of thestrongest supports inGenshin Impactand should have great synergy with Itto and Gorou. Adding another strong Geo user like Zhongli to these three characters could make a viable party. Having a party of characters that use the same vision is usually very bad but it actually does work with Geo thanks to the reaction Crystalize which can work independently from all the other elements.
