Hades Coming to Xbox Game Pass is Great News

Hadeshas already been incredibly successful, and received multiple Game of the Year awards. The game’s popularity was explosive and received near-immediate praise from critics and fans alike. The roguelite model can be divisive for some players, butHadeshas still managed to garner mass appeal for its gameplay and innovative approach to storytelling. Getting the game into the hands of more players is undoubtedly a good thing, and will likely translate to another wave of commercial success as players pick up the game.

BringingHadesto more players will almost assuredly only be a positive, as the game can scratch a lot of itches as players wait for news onDiablo 4and other ARPGs that share gameplay similarities withHades. That being said, the game definitely has its own legs to stand on without comparison to other titles. So much of its success came fromHades’approach to storytelling. More players getting to experience its unique take on Greek mythology and storytelling at large means it inevitably will gain more fans.Hadeshas some very active online communities, and after the game launches on Game Pass, it’s likely that this community will only grow.

A bigger fan base means more interest in the game, and could even potentially lead to Supergiant breaking from its own tradition and releasing DLC (or even a sequel) toHadeseventually. This is obviously conjecture however, but it definitely bears mentioning that the game’s massive popularity could sway the developer into creating moreHadescontent down the line.Hadescoming to Xbox Game Pass is great for fans, but it’s also another big win for one of the most successful indie titles ever made.

Hadesis available now for PC and Switch, and comes to PS4, PS5, and Xbox Game Pass on June 12, 2025.
