Skellige is the third major area that players visit inThe Witcher 3. The location features breathtaking scenery and some of the mostbeautiful musical themes in the game. Though players will not spend as much time inSkelligeas they will in other areas of the game in terms of main quests, the location leaves such a positive impression that it might compel them to return during their playthrough ofThe Witcher 3.RELATED:The Witcher 3: The Best Cards In The Skellige Gwent DeckBetween the hunt for Ciri, Skellige’s internal political struggle, and the various witcher contracts, players may not be keeping an eye out for the finer details the place has to offer. They are easily missed but very interesting when players are successful in finding them.
5Recovering Your Crowns After The Ship Crash
To get to Skellige, players will need tobuy passage via ship from a captain in Novigrad. He will ask Geralt to pay 1,000 crowns as fare for the voyage and will not set sail until paid. Unfortunately, the ship gets attacked on the way and players will briefly fight some pirates before they are knocked unconscious and then wake up washed ashore.
The game tells players that the ship was destroyed on the way withtheir hard-earned crowns now lost along with the captainwho may or may not have survived the ordeal. However, players can locate the captain’s dead body behind the wreckage when they first arrive in Skellige. Upon looting the body, players will find their 1,000 crowns on the body which they can take back.

4Ghost Ship Near Hindarsfjall
Hindarsfjall is the smallest island in the Skellige archipelago that is covered in lush vegetation, forests, and multiple fjords. The island holds considerable importance in the game as it is the location of several quests and houses the Temple of Freya, a major religious site in Skellige. However, players will also beable to spot an Easter egg just north of the island in the sea.
If players visitthe area north of the island that is surrounded by smaller islets at night, they will be able to spot a ghostly ship that rises from the water and floats over the surface for some time.

Afterward, it will return back to the watery depths until it is spotted again. Unfortunately, the ship disappears after it dives under the water and cannot be tracked if players take a dip following it. It is a rare sight that does not appear often during a playthrough and players may not be able to see the ship again once they have spotted it.
3Tyrion Lannister Easter Egg
Between the islands of Ard Skellig and Spikeroog, players will come across the fortress ofKaer Almhult. The keep was built centuries ago as a home for the rulers of Skellige. In practice, however, the various kings of the archipelago preferred to keep their clans' seats instead and so the keep was left unused. Eventually, the keep was turned into a prison and afterward, it fell into ruin.
When players come across the fortress, they will encounter some bandits which they will have to take out. While exploring the keep, they will finda key that unlocks some unique prison cellsin which one of the cell walls will be open to the sky outside, overlooking a sharp drop down below.

This is in reference to the Sky Prison Cells shown on the TV series,Game of Thrones. In one of the prison cells, players will find the body of a dead dwarf that resembles one of the main characters from the show, Tyrion Lannister. The body resembles the character in many ways including choice of clothing and even facial features.
2Best Of Both Worlds In Morkvarg’s Quest
Players will encounter the werewolf Morkvarg atFreya’s Garden on Hindarsfjallas part of the main quest. They learn that Morkvarg is cursed, cannot leave the garden, and cannot eat anything as it turns to ash in his mouth. Players will face the werewolf at least once as part of the main quest, but will not be able to slay him.
They can pursue him, however, aspart of a sidequest where Morkvarg’s former crewmate tasks Geraltto take out the werewolf once and for all. Players can do so by lifting his curse and then slaying him after which the former crewmate rewards players. He will send players to a man calledThe Vulture in Novigradwho will then give players a nice sword as a reward.

Usually, that is the case with the majority ofThe Wither 3’s quests where players will get either reward by siding with either party involved in the quest. But in this quest, players can get both rewards by first freeing Morkvarg after which he tells players to meet The Vulture, and then killing him and reporting his death to the quest giver. The former crewmate will reward players then and there and afterward, they can go visit The Vulture in Novigrad for the second reward.

1Geoglyphs Of Skellige
In certain areas of the Skellige Isles, players will find some special paths that have been paved with rocks. From up close, the only strange thing about them will be that the path seems to be only partially paved. Butif players zoom out by the use of some mods, they can see that the paved path forms a pattern in the shape of a figure.
In the event, players can’t or don’t want to use mods, they can still view these geoglyphs from surrounding areas that are elevated enough and overlook the land down below. Players can find:
