Once Humanis a social game at its core, and when there are other people, there are also multiple ways to communicate. The game has both text and voice chat, but for those who want to keep their interactions brief and wordless, there’s always the option to use emotes.
Emoting is more or less a staple feature in MMOs by now, and playersacross allOnce Human’ssupported platformswill be glad to know that they emote as much as they want while playing. However, the game doesn’t tell players how to do this, and given how you need to navigate a few menus to configure your emotes, it’s hard to blame anyone for not knowing how.
How To Use Emotes In Once Human
These are the two simple steps on how to use emotes. The game doesn’t tell players about the emote selector in the Cosmetics screen, so unless you explored that part of the menu, you likely won’t know that emotes even existed in the first place. It isn’t as well-explained as something likecrafting guns inOnce Human, but the whole method really isn’t that complicated either.
To set your emotes, open the character screen by pressing I on your keyboard. Then, navigate to the Cosmetics tab on the upper-right side of the screen. From here, you’ll be able to customize your character by equipping skins, accessories, and of course, emotes. For the latter, click on theExpressionstab, then selectActions. Pick the emotes you want to equip, then drag them to the wheel on the right.
Once you’ve configured your emotes, press X to bring up your emote wheel. Move your mouse to the emote you want to use, then release your buttons. As it happens, you’re able to also skip the whole configuration part by selecting theMoreoption at the six o’clock position of the wheel. The emote wheel can also be used for Expressions, which are basically stickers. They don’t have any actions tied to them, and they’re mostly there for extra flavor if you aren’tplaying with friends inOnce Human.
If you purchase any emotes from the shop (or unlock any from the battle pass), they’ll automatically be added to your existing list of emotes. Just do any of the steps outlined above if you want to make full use of the goodies in your account.
