All the collected strawberries will be totaled up at the end of each match and, based on the amount, will give various amounts of XP towards players' Gourmet Rank.
After a player eventually levels up their Gourmet Rank by playing the different game modes and eating strawberries, they’ll slowly but surely unlock more cosmetic options, music tracks, character treats, and more.

How to Increase Gourmet Rank Fast in Kirby’s Dream Buffet
Obviously, the first thing players should do to earn more strawberries is simply play against other players inKirby’s Dream Buffet. And try to win when possible. It can be hard to constantly stay in the winner’s circle due to the randomness of the power-up items, but players should still aim to score as many points as possible to level up their rank fast.
Strawberry Bonuses
Now, there are some strawberry bonuses thatKirby’s Dream Buffetplayers can get at the very end of a match. These bonuses can help players potentially surpass others to shake up the final results. The list below will show the ones we’ve seen so far, but there might be other bonuses too.
Each Bonus Reward will give players 40 extra strawberries.
There’s also a x1.80 strawberry bonus for playing online matches.
Some might call this exploitative, but another way to get fast XP inKirby’s Dream Buffetis to link up with some friends online. If one player really wants XP over the others, the others can simply lose on purpose to give their buddy the strawberry advantage.
Max Gourmet Rank in Kirby’s Dream Buffet
The max Gourmet Rank inKirby’s Dream Buffetis 135. If players would like to unlock every clothing and color option for Kirby, and the other collectibles, they’ll need to get to that max rank by playing through some matches. It’ll take quite some time to get there, but the hardcore players should be able to get there with little to no issues. There’s a chance that the rank could increase with a post-launch update or patch, but for now, 135 is the number to hit.
