DC Comics character Nightwing has been appearing in a lot of media lately. On top of having his own ongoing comic book series, Nightwing will be a playable character in the upcomingGotham Knights, a video game that allows players to fight crime as familiar Batman characters such as Robin and Batgirl. Now, a cosplayer who goes by the name NitsVetovhas put together an impressive costume based on Nightwing’s design. It’s so good, it could easily be mistaken for the real thing seen inTitans.

Distinguishable by his trademark staff as well as his blue and black costume, Nightwing is the superhero alter ego of Dick Grayson, who fans will know as the original Batman sidekick, Robin.Grayson was the first Robinand is usually depicted as having aged out of the sidekick role, wanting to become more independent rather than continue to follow in Batman’s footsteps. Grayson was born to a family of circus acrobats, and with his persona as Nightwing he often shows off his agility and fast reflexes. He tends to share similarities with Batman, but usually makes use of melee weapons like his staff. After Grayson left the role, Jason Todd became the new Robin, but he was so unpopular that DC eventually had himbrutally murdered by Batman’s arch-nemesis, Joker.

Nitsvetov’s costumeis particularly impressive and honestly looks as good, if not better, thanthe Nightwing outfit seen inTitans. It serves as a testament to the level of commitment and attention to detail that cosplayers will go through to replicate their favorite characters.

After Grayson became Nightwing, the character gained a lot of popularity, even receiving his own solo comic. He’s also appeared in numerous DC animated shows such asJustice League UnlimtedandBatman Beyond, voiced by actor Loren Lester. While Dick Grayson/Robin has appeared in several live-action movies and TV shows, such as the original ’60s TV show and theJoel SchumacherBatmanmovies, it wasn’t until recently that Nightwing made his live-action debut on the DC Universe seriesTitans.

Titansisa gritty live-action adaptation ofTeen Titans,a superhero team made up of young DC characters such as Robin and Cyborg. The first two seasons of the show premiered on DC Universe and a third season has been announced, but it will be moving over to Warner Bros.' streaming service HBO Max, along with their otherDC TV shows such asHarley Quinn.

While the series received mostly positive reviews after its release, it was largely ridiculed online for its extreme violence and dark tone that was prevalent in the early trailers. Some fans were particularly critical of a moment in the trailer where Dick Grayson declares “F*** Batman” as he’s fighting criminals.

Titansseason 3 will premiere on HBO Max at a yet-to-be-announced date.
