Jump Forcehas cemented itself as the anime arena fighter with a cast that spans some of the biggest properties throughout the world. With DLC character reveals being a big part of the game, publisher Bandai Namco was likely not thrilled inrevealingJump Force’s upcoming DLC content due to leaks. While the surprise of who is joining the cast is gone, it doesn’t mean the reveal can’t still happen.

Alongside the reveal of how Yoruichi will look when she arrives to the anime brawl, players also know when they can expect her. The tweet confirms that Yoruichi will arrive as part ofJump Force’s Character Pass 2 in early 2021. With the release of these screenshots likely stemming from the unplanned announcement of the character, the tentative release date follows similar patterns for previous fighters. WithYu Yu Hakashu’s Hiei releasing last monthfollowing a reveal a month prior, Yoruichi will likely release in late January.
Based on the screenshots, it’s definitely going to be a mix of lightning and feline action. The former 2nd Division Captain will likely bring her immense speed and close-combat specialty to theJump Forcebattlefield and clearly some of her more impressive moves. The most notable is definitely her “Shunko” abilities which allow for some impressive displays including her lightning cat form. None of the screenshots show Ichigo’s former tutor in her feline transformation mode but it will likely make an appearance at during an entrance or winning pose.
Yoruichi actually comes in as the third DLC character for theBleachfranchise, making it the biggest to populate the DLC character roster forJump Force. The previousBleachfavorite to joinJump Forcewas Grimmjow Jaegerjasquezwho was revealed just under a year ago. Before Grimmjow, the game saw another belovedBleachcharacter in Toshiro Hitsugaya coming in as part of the original Character Pass. With Yoruichi’s confirmation, that tiesBleachwithMy Hero Academiafor most franchise DLC characters. It further tiesBleachas having the most characters in the game alongsideOne PieceandDragon Ball.
While fans can be happy to finally see Yoruichi representBleach, the other leaked character may have taken away some of her thunder. After Yoruichi,Giorno Giovanna will joinJump Forcefinally adding the first DLC character from theJoJo’s Bizarre Adventurefranchise.
Jump Forceis available now on PC, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One.
