Ahead ofKartRider: Drift’s season one launch on March 8, there will be an update on February 15 aimed at “adjustments to the core game experienced based on player feedback.” What that exactly entails has not yet been revealed, but current players can look forward to more information in the coming weeks. At the same time, March 8 and the launch of New World is no doubt big for the game and franchise as a whole. AlongsidePC, console, and mobile crossplay, the new season will add new tracks and race modes, a season-long theme, new daily player rewards, and new events for players to take part in, “plus many other improvements.”

For those who will be joining the game on its console platform,KartRider: Drift’s gameplayhas been described as simple to learn but hard to master. It works in the simplicity of standard kart racing experiences with tons of nuance and skill mastery challenges across its license challenges, Item Mode, Speed Mode, Time Attack Mode, and so on. Furthermore, the game offers a huge suite of customization options that allow players to cross the finish line in style, while adding more characters, karts, accessories, and emotes via the standard Racing Pass, with even more content unlocked in the Premium Racing Pass.

There are two thingsKartRider: Driftplayers need to keep in mind ahead of the season one launch. First off, all progress unlocked during the preseason carries over, so fans don’t have to worry about losing anything. Secondly,KartRider: Driftshould not be mistaken forKartRider: Rush+, as it will continue to operate as a standalone title with no crossplay between it andDrift.

KartRider: Driftis available now on PC and select mobile devices. It’ll release on the PlayStation and Xbox Stores on March 8.
