Reddit user Ok_Performer_4675 has usedDreamsto recreate the final boss battle against Zero fromKirby’s Dream Land 3. Due to the nature of howDreamsworks, this means that in order to build the boss fight, Ok_Performer_4675 needed to recreate the battle in 3D, and this results in a stellar look as to what the SNES version would be like if it was made today.
Kirby’s Dream Land 3is yet anotherKirbytitle that has been known to surprise players with the drastic change away from happier scenery to the dark and dangerous final boss throughout their playthrough. Many players have mentioned being rather scared of the final boss as children, and this is represented on the post as the most popular comment reads “now you can experience your childhood traumas in 3D!”
This comment is rather justified in how incredible the recreation looks, especially with how Ok_Performer_4675 changed the fight to work in three dimensions rather than two. The Reddit user has adapted thememorableKirbyenemy’s attackssuch as his use of black lightning to reach for Kirby in the space surrounding them, for example. TheDreamsversion also includes all three phases of the fight, with special animations to transition between them.
However, the post on Reddit also states in the title that this version of the fightbuilt inDreamsis only a work in progress, which can be seen with how the last phase of the boss fight is missing its attacks. Hopefully Ok_Performer_4675 shares an updated version when it’s finally done, as even the unfinished version is leaving an incredible impression with fans.
Kirby’s Dream Land 3is available on the Nintendo Switch through Nintendo Switch Online.
