The dangerous monsters are not the only obstacles the players will face whilecollecting scrapsinLethal Company. There are many more things to worry about, like environmental hazards that can cause players to lose their lives while roaming around on the abandoned moons.
Lightning Storms are one such natural danger inLethal Company. While normal weather can be easier for the players, stormy or rainy weather can pose serious threats to them.

What Happens During a Lightning Storm In Lethal Company?
Lightning storms are catastrophic events that mostly happen onmoons with stormy weather, and they may kill players transporting metal objects from the facility to their ship. No players are safe from a lightning strike, and there’sno guaranteed way of surviving this hazard.
There’s a probability thatrandom players might get struck by lightningif they roam around in the open on a stormy moon, even though they don’t have any metal items in their inventory.

A bolt of lightning can kill any player it strikes and also may damage the main ship. Lightning strikes are more likely to strike on ships that have metal objects stored inside of them. This might cause damage to the ship’s lights, leaving the inside completely black.
How To Carry Metal Items During a Lightning Storm
Being cautious and watching for lightning strike warnings is the best strategy while carrying metal objects during a lightning storm. Players will see apop-up warning indicationon their screen andhear a static electric soundon their headphones if they are about to be struck.
In such circumstances, players must drop all metal items and retreat to a safe distance to survive since standing close during the strike can be fatal. The default button for dropping items in the game is’G.'

Soon after, the thunder will hit the metal items on the ground. Many metal objects may continue to produce electric sounds or effects even after the impact. So, wait for some time before trying to pick them up. Once this impact has subsided, players can resume carrying the objects and proceed toward their ship.
Lightning strikescan occur briefly or repeatedlyin succession. Thus, the players might have to repeat this process twice or more to successfully bring the metal scraps to the ship, making it time-consuming. Thus, players may need to leave the facility early once the night falls to avoid traveling in total darkness onthe abandoned moons.
However, as mentioned earlier, even in the absence of a metal object, all players are susceptible to random lightning bolt strikes. Therefore, it is advised to avoid weather situations such as rainy, stormy, or eclipsed, as these moons provide several hazards, such as lightning storms andquicksand, both of which may be fatal.
The only thing that can protect players from this inherent peril if they have landed on a stormy moon is to exercise great caution. It is impossible to anticipate when lightning will strike, so players have to move carefully and hide under cover whenever feasible.
