While the church serves as the faith center, taverns provide a source of entertainment. However, taverns remain non-functional unless they’re stocked up with ale. Choosing barley to sow in Manor Lords

Start With Cultivating Barley

Players can cultivate multiple crops onManor Lords, includingbarley. Before sowing the crop, it’s highly advised toinspect the land to determine its fertility. Players can judge the land’s fertility by following these steps:

Keep in mind that crops are always harvested in September. However, players can choose to harvest them early with a 15% drop in yield.

Convert Barley To Malt

The next step in the ale-making process is converting the harvested barley into malt. This can be achieved by building a Malthouse. The Malthouse is a structureavailable under the industry section of the Construction menu. Once Malthouse is built, players can assign a citizen to this building, who manages the conversion of barley to malt.

Establishing Brewery & Making Ale

The final process in brewing ale is toupgrade a burgage plot to level 2. With the burgage plot upgraded, players canextend the building to a brewery.To extend a burgage plot, click the structure to pull up the context menu, followed byclicking the gear icon to choose the brewery extension.It’s worth noting that citizens residing within the extended burgage plot will now turn into brewers. Moreover, once a burgage plot is extended, the inhabitants can no longer participate in construction tasks.

With the brewery established, citizens will automatically transfer malt to the brewery to prepare ale. At this stage, players can build a tavern and assign citizens to it, enabling the transfer of ale from brewery to tavern. Soon, players should notice citizens visiting the tavern, having a good time, and approving their lord.
