Marvel Snapdeveloper Second Dinner has issued compensation for a recent bug that led to players opening empty Collector’s Caches and Reserves. The latest patch forMarvel Snapmade significant changes to card unlocks, adding the Token Shop and replacing Boosters in Collector’s Level rewards with Tokens. Rolling out the patch, unfortunately, had some unfortunate side effects. Second Dinner was quick to address the problem but delayed compensation until now.

It isn’t clear exactly what happened that caused the bug inMarvel Snap, but it was clearly related to how Tokens were supposed to be a reward found in Collector’s Caches and Reserves. Instead, players would receive theirMarvel SnapCollector’s Level rewardsand would either discover them empty or would get Boosters, which wasn’t supposed to happen. Second Dinner immediately said it was aware of the issue and provided updates until it was fixed, a bit over a day later. It also confirmed compensation would be provided at a later date.

That compensation has now been delivered toMarvel Snapplayers. There are two types of compensation. The first is 200 Gold, which is being given to allMarvel Snapplayersgiven that everyone had to deal with the worry that their caches would be empty. The other half of the compensation is solely for those directly impacted by the error. Players who opened empty boxes or received Boosters after the update can go back and re-open those boxes for new and correct rewards.

These rewards should all be accessible inMarvel Snapright now. To receive the gold, players should check their inboxes. Note that this reward must be claimed in the next two weeks, as it will disappear after. Those who had empty caches or Booster rewards can check their Collector’s Levels and scroll down to find their reset loot boxes.

All things considered, this is a rather well-executed round of compensation fromSecond Dinner. While the obvious truth is that no one wishes the situation had happened in the first place, Second Dinner reacted quickly to fix the problem. Then it took what time was necessary to see who was impacted and has since provided adequate recompense. There’s some argument that those affected deserved more, but it’s certainly better than nothing.

Marvel Snapplayers can now resume focus on getting used to the Token shop and how unlocking cards has changed since the update. For the most part, it’s exactly like before the patch, just with the possibility of earning additional cards along the way. That should meanMarvel Snapis more rewarding and thus better than before. More cards should mean a better start to next week’s new season, too, with the introduction of theSilver Surfercard.
