CM Punk’s return at Survivor Series was rumored for weeks heading into the event, but it was still hard to believe when the WWE PLE came to an end and there he was. Since then, he has mostly been showing why he’s the best in the world on the mic after an injury atthe Royal Rumblesaw him sidelined, but easily his feud with Drew McIntyre (also currently injured, as of this writing) has been one of the best stories as of late. And luckily, fans will be able to recreate this rivalry inWWE 2K24come May 15.
CM Punk is the face and biggest draw forWWE 2K24’s first official DLC, appropriately dubbed the ECW Punk Pack. It releases May 15, adding Bubba Ray Dudley, D-Von Dudley, Sandman, Terry Funk, and some MyFACTION content alongside CM Punk. Interestingly, this breaks a 10-year streak withWWE 2K24and manages to break a few others as well.

CM Punk’sWWE 2K24additionishis first appearance in the WWE main game series sinceWWE 2K15, which released on Jun 10, 2025. His addition on May 15 is nearly 10 years after, breaking his absence streak in the series. Perhaps what’s most interesting is the fact that this was never a guarantee. Immediately after his return at Survivor Series came the speculation on whether or not he would appear inWWE 2K24. On the one hand, that’s a big draw for the game, but on the other hand, that’s a tight turnaround time. Many postulated he would indeed appear asWWE 2K24DLC, but that didn’t appear to be the case at first.
Prior to its reveal, Visual Concepts and 2K teased several of the stars coming in the DLC, and this teaser had some obvious additions like Jade Cargill. However, absent was any real concrete teaser for CM Punk. This prompted Punk to put out a video where he revealed was going to “get to the bottom” of his status inWWE 2K24, and it was shortly after thatCM Punk was confirmed for the first DLC pack. He may not be in the base game, but he is in the game much to many fan’s delight. This 10-year streak had to be broken, and it’s better now than withWWE 2K25(where he will likely make the base roster).

WWE 2K24’s ECW Punk Pack Breaks Several Streaks
CM Punk himself is a big draw forWWE 2K24, but he’s not the only one to break a streak with this DLC. TheECW starsjoining him all haven’t been in a WWE game in a long time.
Two of the characters joining CM Punk have been absent from the games longer than he has, really showing how disrupting the game is at the core of the ECW Punk Pack. No matter what, though, it’s clear fans are going to be getting tables and kendo sticks out, participating in hardcore matches, and puttingopponents like Drew McIntyreto sleep come May 15.
