Released in 2019,Controlis an action-adventure title that has become highly regarded among many in the gaming community. The game centers aroundJesse Fadenas she searches for her lost brother. One of the appeals of the title was the location where the story takes place, the Oldest House, the Federal Bureau of Control’s paranormal headquarters.

Taking to Reddit, a user known as Ominous_Hippopotamus shared a video highlighting a building project they had created inMinecraft. According to the Reddit user, they had decided to build a Hardcore Base based onControl, and the results were impressive, to say the least. The video shared by Ominous_Hippopotamus began with a timelapse segment that revealed the exterior of theFederal Bureau of Control’s the Oldest House taking shape. However, this was far from the extent of the build made by the creator.
In addition to the outside of the creation, Ominous_Hippopotamus provided a glimpse at their build from the inside. The video showed the player walking around what appeared to be a striking recreation of the Central Research area fromControl, complete with the giant tree growing in the middle of the room. Remarkably, the Reddit user added that they had created the entire build in Hardcore Mode, meaning they had to collect all the materials for the creation. Furthermore, the base would have been deleted if they had accidentally died.
Since Ominous_Hippopotamus shared theirControl-inspired Hardcore base on Reddit, the post has garnered immense attention from theMinecraftcommunity. The build has already accrued more than 4,500 upvotes in just over a day. In addition, many users praised the creator, with a number of comments complimenting the lighting used inside the Oldest House.
While thisControl-themed Hardcore base is impressive, it is far from the only creation based on other popular video game franchises that fans have created. For example, one gamer recently made amod forMinecraftthat turned the voxel world intoBreath of the Wild, complete with a Sheika tower. As players doubtlessly continue to playMinecraftin the weeks ahead, it will be interesting to see what other creations are shown off by fans. Perhaps, Ominous_Hippopotamus will add even more to theirControlbuild by making the iconic Ashtray Maze seen in the game.
